Your role:

The Data and Business Insights Apprentice will provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Aspiring Futures Team. This will involve communicating with internal and external customers, face to face on the telephone and via email, operating a variety of Data, Management Information and ICT systems and providing general support to the team. You will be required to spend a proportion of your time undertaking a Level 3 Data & Business Insights Apprenticeship and will gain a range of experience whilst learning from experienced professionals within the team and organisation.

We are looking for a self-motivated and conscientious individual with the drive to listen, learn and achieve whilst supporting the teams’ objectives. You will have good communication skills and ability to work in a timely and efficient manner. You will be able to complete tasks accurately and share your confident digital skills. You will be passionate about supporting young people in Wigan Borough to overcome obstacles and barriers to achieving their life and career aims.

The Aspiring Futures team is the employment and skills service for young people aged 16-19 (and up to 25 for those with learning difficulties and disabilities) in the Wigan borough. We offer support to those who are not in employment, education or training, helping them decide on what they would like to do and finding them opportunities. We are responsible for tracking destinations of young people and updating database records for local and national reports.
