Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client based in Widnes, operating Artic Walking Floor trailers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company offering stable, full-time work, overtime opportunities, and long-term career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Operating Class 1 HGV vehicles and Artic Walking Floor trailers
  • Completing collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
  • Maintaining accurate digital tachograph records
  • Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
  • Providing professional customer service at collection and delivery points

Working Hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Additional shifts and overtime available as required.

Pay Rates

£15.26 per hour basic rate. Overtime after 40 hours paid at 1.25x. Saturdays paid at 1.5x. Bank Holidays paid at 2x.

Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
  • Valid CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph card
  • Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience
  • Experience using Walking Floor / Moving Floor trailers is highly advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and professional attitude
