The predicted salary is between 23615 - 25674 £ per year.
We are recruiting for a part‑time, 24‑hour position working Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Office hours are from 8am to 7pm, and you will be required to work until 7pm on a rolling rota once a week. A rotational Saturday shift is also required (approximately 1 in 6).
The role is to provide a full clerical service to the x‑ray department, including reception, booking patients onto the departmental computer system, filing, and making appointments. You will also act as a clerical coordinator in the CT control room. Full training will be given. Flexibility in hours worked will be necessary to cover annual leave and sickness.
Responsibilities- Book radiology patients into the departmental CRIS system, verify patients’ personal details, and direct them to the correct waiting area.
- Coordinate transport for patients, liaise with patients and carers to arrange a time to attend, and rearrange transport home.
- Deal with enquiries over the telephone and in person.
- Make appointments as required following protocols for plain film and DEXA images, working to radiology waiting times.
- Handle enquiries from patients regarding appointments, referring to the admin coordinator/manager if unable to resolve.
- Act as coordinator in the CT department, scheduling ward and inpatient scanning times, requesting exams to be authorised, and answering the phone.
- Organise own workload.
- Provide quality clerical support over an extended working day, including weekend work.
