The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit two Nursery Practitioners to work at our Little Learners Nursery at St Anne’s Church Academy in Weston-super-Mare. Little Learners Nursery is located in the heart of West Wick within St Anne’s Church Academy. We welcome children aged 2 years and above to learn, explore and have fun through play.

At Little Learners Nursery we understand and celebrate the unique qualities in every child and we ensure our Nursery is an enjoyable and positive experience for all of the children in our care. Our three classrooms, Adventurers, Explorers and Discoverers have access to outstanding resources and learning opportunities, with the outside area being an extension of the classroom. Our outdoor areas are equipped with natural, loose parts resources, we pride ourselves in encouraging children to be inquisitive and use their imagination to develop their play and learning. Little Learners are offered inclusive extra-curricular activities such as Forest School, yoga, Stretch and Grow and gymnastics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Monitoring and Evaluation processes and requirements as requested by the Nursery Manager or Deputy Managers.
  • Participate in ensuring Little Learners Nursery complies with the OFSTED regulations and other requirements as agreed.
  • Participate in maintaining the resources and equipment as required to ensure smooth and safe running of the Nursery facilities.

About You:

  • A good standard of education/3 or more GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 minimum.
  • Previous experience of working in a school or nursery setting.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A full and relevant Early Years qualification to level three or above is also desirable.
