We are recruiting General Porters within our Waste Team at Weston General Hospital. This role supports the safe movement and management of waste services across the hospital, contributing directly to infection prevention, site safety, and the smooth running of hospital operations.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday. Two‑week rota:
  • Week 1 – 8 am to 4 pm
  • Week 2 – 12 pm to 8 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a portering and messenger service, including the transfer of patients and visitors between wards and departments.
  • Move and manage waste within Weston Hospital.
  • Maintain confidentiality and attend trust training.
  • Respond to emergency bleeps, including cardiac arrest, fire and major trauma.
  • Assist with other tasks as required.
