Stuart House Dementia Care Home is a small, specialist service in Weston-super-Mare, set within a characterful Victorian terrace close to the seafront. Supporting up to 19 residents, the home provides high quality residential, respite and palliative dementia care within a calm, homely and person centred environment designed to promote comfort, familiarity and dignity.
Contract: £12.71 per hour
Contracted to: 12 hours per week
Shift Times: 8AM - 2PM
Set Shifts: Week 1 Monday, Tuesday | Week 2 Saturday, Sunday
Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
Role Overview: As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia and mental health conditions. Your work will support the overall wellbeing of residents, helping to create a calm and welcoming space where they feel safe and at home. You will carry out cleaning duties across residents’ rooms, communal areas and shared spaces, ensuring high standards of hygiene and infection control are maintained at all times. Working closely with the wider team, you will support a well organised environment and contribute to the smooth running of the home. This role requires attention to detail, reliability and a respectful approach, recognising the importance of maintaining dignity and privacy while working within residents’ personal spaces.
What We Are Looking For:
- A reliable and hardworking approach with good attention to detail

- A respectful and considerate approach when working in residents’ rooms
- Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
- willingness to learn and follow cleaning procedures and infection control guidance
- Previous cleaning or domestic experience is beneficial but not essential
