We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing care provider for an experienced Children’s Home Manager to lead a brand-new residential children’s home registered for up to 3 children. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step and play a key role in establishing a high-quality home from the ground up.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and development of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people. You will lead and develop a residential care team, ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, and create a stable, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home
  • Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a residential care team
  • Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people
  • Develop and review care plans, risk assessments, and support plans
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals
  • Monitor performance and ensure high standards of care and practice

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to high-quality care
