The Role

We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies.

Main Duties

  • Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
  • Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
  • Undertake plant strip downs, rebuilds and component repairs.
  • Assist with small project works as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with a programmable logic controller (PLC) system like Siemens, Allen Bradley.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Time served apprentice to NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Excellent Health and Safety awareness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and comfortably manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Hard working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
  • Good communication skills and happy to work as part of a team or individually.
