Experienced and reliable Brake Press Operator with over five years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Skilled in operating CNC and manual press brake machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components in line with technical drawings and strict tolerances. Proven ability to maintain productivity, ensure precision, and uphold health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, programme, and operate CNC and manual press brake machines (e.g. Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar).
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical specifications, and job sheets accurately.
  • Perform precision bending, forming, and shaping of sheet metal to tight tolerances.
  • Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job, ensuring correct machine setup.
  • Carry out in-process inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, gauges).
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain machinery, carry out routine checks, and report faults promptly.
  • Follow all health & safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Brake Press / Press Brake Operator.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with various metals (e.g. mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium).
  • Knowledge of tooling setups and bend allowances.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
