Doors Morland is a well established business based in Welshpool, specialising in high quality door solutions for the UK market. They work closely with customers across construction and manufacturing, providing reliable products supported by strong technical expertise. They're looking for a Trainee Specification Technician to join their Specification Team, supporting the preparation of technical drawings, quotations and product documentation for our UK door range. This is a junior, entry level role, ideal for a graduate, school leaver or someone keen to begin a technical career within construction or manufacturing. No previous industry experience is required; full training and structured development will be provided.
You’ll work closely with sales, production and technical teams, learning how to interpret customer requirements, prepare accurate door specifications and build knowledge of door systems, hardware and UK compliance standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with technical quotations, drawings and specifications
- Supporting the preparation of bills of materials
- Ensuring accuracy across technical documentation
- Providing day to day technical support to the sales team
- Developing product knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and a team focused approach
- Basic IT skills
