We’re recruiting for a detail-driven Production Planner to coordinate manufacturing schedules using an MRP system, ensuring customer delivery commitments are met. This role plays a key part in aligning production, materials, and resources, working closely with internal teams across engineering, purchasing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production activities based on capacity and material availability
  • Review engineering drawings and multi-level BOMs to support make vs buy decisions
  • Monitor material supply and provide clear direction to Purchasing on requirements and timelines
  • Identify and manage critical path items, ensuring any risks to schedule are addressed early
  • Expedite materials where required to maintain production timelines
  • Raise and manage accurate works orders to support manufacturing output
  • Create and maintain production part numbers and manufacturing BOMs where needed
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any risks or delays
  • Support pricing requests for spares linked to sales orders
  • Attend planning, sales, and operations meetings to forecast workload and resource needs
  • Contribute to KPI reporting, tracking planning performance vs actuals
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the MRP system, supporting training and onboarding
  • Build strong working relationships across all operational departments

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience using MRP or ERP systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and planning tools
