We are recruiting into our St George’s House team, the only high‑support accommodation‑based service for young people in Bristol. The role offers the chance to develop excellent support and housing management experience while working part‑time. We encourage applications from individuals who are currently under‑represented at 1625ip, including people from Black/Black British backgrounds, Muslim and male candidates, and anyone with relevant lived experience.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a variety of positive engagement activities over weekends.
- Support the team with a range of housing‑management tasks, from running activities to helping clean rooms.
- Ensure the security of the building when on shift.
- Manage challenging behaviour using your understanding of complex needs and problem‑solving skills.
- Co‑coordinate and co‑deliver on‑site activities, including residents’ meetings.
- Work weekends (including some Fridays) as part of the High Support Team.
- Report to the St George’s House Senior Project Worker.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we provide training in Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma‑Informed Practice (TIP).
- Transferable skills in care, support or hospitality are advantageous.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
Working hours & pay
- Hours: average 20 per week (16 hours on Sat/Sun in some weeks, 24 hours on Fri/Sat/Sun in others); 0.5 FTE.
- Contract: Permanent.
- Pay: £26,824 to £28,142 per annum (pro‑rata based on 0.5 FTE).
- Location: St George’s House, Bristol.
