We are seeking a highly experienced, traditional Personal Assistant to support a senior individual within a care company. This is a trusted, long‑term role that goes far beyond standard office administration and plays an integral part in supporting both professional and personal commitments.
This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys being a right‑hand person, is highly organised, discreet, proactive and capable of managing a busy, varied workload with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will also be confident using their initiative to manage communications independently, including responding to emails on behalf of the individual when appropriate and filtering correspondence that requires their direct attention.
This fantastic new role will be permanent from day 1, with an immediate start available to allow full handover.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 1 hour lunch break
- Occasional out‑of‑hours contact for urgent matters
Salary: Highly competitive – open for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
- Full diary management, including scheduling meetings, appointments and personal commitments
- Typing and drafting emails, letters and documents dictated directly by the individual (touch typing essential)
- Managing and responding to email correspondence, using initiative to prioritise and escalate where necessary
- Booking and managing travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, transport and holidays
- Acting as a central point of contact and gatekeeper
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Supporting both business and family-related administration
- Maintaining an organised paper-based filing system, including management of extensive physical records
- Anticipating needs and proactively resolving issues before they arise
- Liaising with internal teams and external contacts as required
- Any additional duties as and when required
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a PA supporting a senior individual or director
- Excellent touch-typing skills and strong written communication
- Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities
- Confident diary and travel management experience
- Professional, calm and adaptable approach
- Strong character with the confidence to manage and respond effectively to an assertive personality
- Comfortable working in a traditional, paper-based office environment (including managing extensive physical filing systems)
- Willingness to be contacted out of hours in the event of emergencies
