We are seeking a Technician to join our team at Torus Developments and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality residential schemes across the North West. This is a new and exciting role focused on the preparation, coordination and review of technical drawings and information to support both pipeline and live development projects.
Working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will help ensure that designs are accurate, compliant, buildable and delivered to a high standard, supporting our wider ambition to deliver sustainable, high-quality homes at scale.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Preparing, amending and coordinating CAD drawings including site layouts, house types and construction details
- Reviewing and checking technical drawings for accuracy, compliance with Building Regulations and coordination with consultant information
- Providing technical input into both pipeline and live construction schemes, ensuring buildability and design efficiency
- Liaising with architects, engineers, consultants and contractors to coordinate technical information
- Supporting the production of technical information for planning, tender and construction stages
- Attending site meetings and providing technical support, including resolving design and construction issues
- Supporting the delivery of compliant, high-quality homes with minimal defects through accurate technical design
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Building Regulations and company standards
- Supporting the integration of Health & Safety considerations into design and construction
- Identifying and responding to technical risks and design issues at an early stage
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree-level qualification in Architectural Technology, Construction Management or a related built environment discipline
- Experience in a similar technical or architectural role within residential development
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and residential construction details
- Understanding of pre-construction processes and technical coordination requirements
- Experience producing or supporting house type design and residential layouts
- Understanding of the Building Safety Act and Gateway process (desirable)
- Awareness of emerging regulations such as Future Homes and Building Standards (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate technical information accurately
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Working towards a professional qualification such as CIAT, CIOB or RIBA (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
Interview Process:
Interviews will take place Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July at our Warrington office and will involve a competency-based interview and presentation.

Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed: Right to work verification, Qualification certificate check, 2x completed references, OH Health Questionnaire, Fit For Work DBS check (if required for role), Completion of all new starter documentation including signed T&C’s.
