Overview
Our client is a well-established general contractor based in Warrington, delivering Design & Build projects across the commercial and industrial sectors. They are looking to appoint an Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing growth across a strong pipeline of work. The role will be split between the office and live sites, with occasional working from home available when required.
Project Details
- Sectors: Hotels, Industrial Units, Commercial Builds (no residential)
- Project Values: £1m - £10m
- Procurement: Design & Build / General Construction
- Typical workload: 2-3 projects concurrently
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account
- Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and cash flows
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Valuations, variations, and change control
- Monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting
- Final accounts and commercial close-out
- Liaising with site teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Intermediate to Senior level experience within general construction / D&B
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- IT literate, with good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively between office and site environments
