Brightwork are delighted to be supporting a key client in their search for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Warrington. Our client is an established and rapidly growing organisation within the industrial supplies sector, offering an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a long-term career in finance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the finance function, contributing across a variety of administrative and accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Processing invoices accurately and efficiently
- Performing data entry and maintaining financial records
- Supporting the resolution of finance-related queries in a timely manner
- Liaising with internal staff and external vendors via email and telephone
- Matching purchase orders to sales orders and issuing invoices
- Assisting with month-end processes, including general ledger journal entries
- Analysing financial data and identifying discrepancies
- Providing general support to the finance team as required
- Undertaking additional ad hoc duties when needed
- Some experience with data entry or accounting software is desirable
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident telephone manner and good interpersonal skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
