We are looking for a Steel Operative! You will be setting and operating a blanking line, processing steel coils to specification. You will also be responsible for associated duties including operating overhead cranes, moving steel around the workplace, feeding the machine lines and stacking blanks on the back end.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating a blanking line
- Stacking processed steel blanks
- Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
- Loading and unloading steel coils onto the machine line
You will be working a permanent afternoon shift pattern (6AM to 2PM, Monday – Thursday), 37 hours per week. This role will be working on a temp-to-perm basis with long–term opportunities available.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
