The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all routine procedures within the Cardiology Department (including ECG, event recorder, 24hr ECG Holter Monitoring and 24hr Blood Pressure monitoring – hook‑up and analysis).
- Provide accurate technical reports on all procedures listed above.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and clinical skills.
- Undertake audit and research activities.
- Understand the significance of the ECG traces recorded and initiate further action by senior cardiac physiology, nursing or medical staff as necessary.
- Learn to identify and correct clinical and technical problems, which may lead to poor quality or misleading results.
- Prepare patients and equipment for ambulatory monitoring, including coaching patients in the appropriate use of the equipment and patient diary.
- Retrieve data from ambulatory equipment, using the appropriate computing/telephonic/recording devices provided, then check the quality of the data, edit where appropriate and prepare reports for printing.
- Ensure reports are presented for review/reporting in a timely fashion and arrange reappointment of failed recordings.
