Location: Wolverhampton (covering West Midlands, Staffordshire & Warwickshire)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexibility required)

Salary: £30,000 – £38,500 per annum (DOE)

The Role

Our client is a long-established and rapidly growing security systems company based in Staffordshire, seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a varied, hands-on role involving the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electronic security and networking systems across a range of client sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions across CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and wireless networking systems. Working across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and Warwickshire, this role requires a proactive and reliable engineer who can work both independently and as part of a team, delivering excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain CCTV, ANPR, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and WiFi systems
  • Assist with both new installations and reactive service call-outs
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on security and networking systems
  • Work with IP-based systems and support basic network configuration
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with company and SSAIB requirements
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional on-site support
  • Accurately complete job reports and documentation
  • Participate in an on-call rota

About You

  • Basic IP networking knowledge (minimum 12 months preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working with CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control or WiFi systems
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • Full background and DBS check due to SSAIB accreditation
