The primary purpose of this role is to support the delivery of the Trust’s operational Referral to Treatment (RTT) standards through the implementation of the RTT data quality strategy. The post holder will support the RTT Validation and Training Lead, in the supervision/development of the validation team.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake extensive validation of data derived from medical records, clinical letters and Trust systems that contain clinical details and activities to ensure primary source items of dataset are accurate.
- Interpret and analyse the information from health care medical records, clinical letters and other Trust systems including but not limited to CareFlow, Fusion and Dragon that contain patient information and clinical details to make a judgement on the true situation of the patients' 18 RTT Pathway.
- Validate, correct and update the patients' 18 RTT Pathway in CareFlow via the EPR and/or other areas of functionality using advanced functionality specific to the role based access of an 18 RTT Validator.
- Support in monthly mass texting of RTT Active Waiting Lists including sending the text message, collating the data and management of responses.
- Liaise with the operational managers, waiting list co‑ordinators, senior validators, medical secretaries and performance to ensure that potential breaches are reviewed and action taken to stop patients breaching.
- Assist in the completion of 18 week, weekly and monthly returns to the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in liaison with the Information Department.
- Act as a point of contact for the validation team, dealing and responding effectively with complex queries from various teams and departments and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members.
