Hours: 16 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Candidate will be required to be flexible between the hours of 8am-5pm, must be able to work every other weekend.

Within the role of a Day Care Assistant, you will contribute to the effective and efficient function of the day centre, to the highest standards, by providing a day care service which meets with the physical, social, emotional recreational and therapeutic needs of older people. You will assist in meeting the needs of the service users through the provision of personal care, promotion of dependence and working in conjunction with the service users.
To qualify for the role, you will have:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- Experience of working with people with various support needs
- Experience of working constructively as part of a team
- GCSE or equivalent standard in English and Maths
- NVQ Level 2 accreditation or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of issues that affect older people
- Knowledge of issues related to health & safety at work in service delivery
- Knowledge of legislation surrounding care provision and older peoples’ issues (desirable)
