The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of booking schedules for a centralised service, working collaboratively with all divisions to ensure all national targets and departmental KPI's are delivered. The post holder will carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work, supporting the organisation in achieving the vision of excellence in everything we do by promoting equal opportunities, fairness, quality and inclusion through best practice, working, monitoring, training and evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Operationally lead the department’s departmental/division’s systems: recruitment and selection, staffing Admin team.
  • Responsibility for daily management of staff, ensuring effective administrative running of the service in terms of both systems and equipment, implementation and maintenance of office/related issues, ensuring delivery of service.
  • Using initiative to ensure patients are booked in line with local and national access targets.
  • Work in the Access Team environment supporting the Elective Access manager to provide a professional, efficient and effective centralised booking service for a variety of outpatient/inpatient schedules, ensuring KPI’s are maintained.
  • Complete daily reviews of booking utilisation across the three divisions and ensure they are in line with trust expectations and standards.
  • Identify where capacity cannot be utilised and escalating as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update reports within the department.
  • Undertake IPDR and 121 sessions within the Access Team.
  • Ensure staffing levels are maintained to provide continued service delivery with the team, enabling all daily business to be completed and KPI’s to be maintained.
  • Monitor and maintain booking utilisation.
