Responsibilities include supporting the daily operation within a professional kitchen environment by assisting with routine food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene, and helping to ensure the smooth flow of kitchen activities. You will assist in basic food preparation such as salad preparation and gain an understanding of food safety and the importance of allergens within a professional setting. Training in handling cash alongside colleagues within the café is also part of the role. You will work alongside catering colleagues in offering customer service (serving) and gaining an understanding of portion control and its importance to maximise profit.
