An exciting opportunity has arisen on our Acute Frailty Unit (AFU) for a full-time Clinical Support Worker to join our team. The AFU is a 25-bed acute assessment unit for patients over 74, focusing on frailty. The ward also has an SDEC area operating 7 days a week, and we liaise with community services to provide a rapid access clinic Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide and support patients with both personal and clinical care activities relevant to training.
- Maintain accurate records of the patient's care, documenting appropriately on the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner) in line with Trust, professional and departmental guidelines.
- Observe patients and report any changes to a Registered professional for review.
- Report any abnormal findings directly to the registered professional in charge or doctor.
- Undertake a range of basic housekeeping, stock control and administrative duties within the clinical environment.
- Under the supervision of registered nurses, doctors and other registered healthcare professionals, ensure the well‐being and comfort of patients during their hospital admission, providing high‐quality care.
