Role Overview
The Healthy Lifestyles Mentor supports the holistic development of pupils within our independent school community, combining sport coaching with pastoral mentoring. Your role is to promote physical, emotional and social well-being, helping pupils develop resilience and lead balanced lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sport coaching to pupils at all year groups.
- Provide one‑to‑one and group pastoral support focused on health and well‑being.
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to embed well‑being strategies across the curriculum.
- Maintain accurate written reports for staff, parents and pupil progress discussions.
- Support pupils in setting and achieving personal and health goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant coaching qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in sports).
- Experience mentoring youth in an educational setting.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, active listening and diplomacy.
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
- Excellent written communication skills for staff reporting.
