PA wanted for a strong minded & determined 23 year old. Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
Pay: £14.20 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 20 hours per week divided by up to three PAs. Variable depending on weekly needs TBD at interview.
I’m a friendly, chatty and determined 23‑year‑old wheelchair user looking for a kind, creative Personal Assistant with a great sense of humour. I love playing on my switch, doing arts and crafts, acting, and theatre. I recently performed in David Copperfield: A Life at Theatre Royal Bath. I’m looking for someone considerate, positive, up for a laugh and can encourage my independence.
I have limited hand dexterity so patience is key but can do standing transfers from my chair. I would like someone who can put my abilities first, not my disability. Ask me what I can and want to do today, support and guide, not just do it for me.
Duties include:
- Personal grooming
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Bathroom assistance
- Support with showering & hair wash 3 times a week
- Social outings a couple of times a week
Requirements:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
