Our client, a reputable independent commercial vehicle dealership in Tredegar, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their expanding team. Duties
- Diagnose faults efficiently and accurately on light commercial and 4x4 vehicles.
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Report vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance issues to the Workshop Controller.
- Adhere to health & safety and quality procedures at all times.
- Contribute to a team environment by sharing knowledge and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
- Ensure a high standard of workmanship in a busy franchise‑approved dealership setting.
- Assist in achieving team targets and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (minimum).
- At least 3‑4 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
- A committed, team‑oriented individual with a ‘mentor mindset’ keen to share expertise.
- Ability to produce high‑quality work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- MOT certification is advantageous but not essential.
