Education Supply Pool is a PAYE Employer recruiting Teaching Assistants to support day-to-day, short-term and long-term positions on behalf of schools based in Rhymney and its surrounding areas. We are looking for a FULL‑TIME Teaching Assistant with a minimum of NVQ Level 2, CACHE Level 2, BTEC, BA (Hons) Education, or equivalent experience working within an education setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least three months of experience working inside a classroom, either in a primary or secondary school environment. Owning a valid UK Driver’s Licence and having access to a vehicle will widen job opportunities. Teaching Assistants are a crucial part of the education workforce in Wales. The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital to supporting and motivating children in Wales.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Assist with preparing lessons in all areas of the school curriculum with consideration of varied levels of student abilities
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Provide simulated activities whilst ensuring hygiene and safety rules
  • Maintain a supportive and clean classroom environment
  • Be attentive to the unique needs of each student and be able to identify proper solutions when children encounter issues
  • Great communication skills to collaborate with other teachers and families when needed
