We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our Transport team at our Worcester depot. This is a key, hands-on role responsible for ensuring the transport operation runs safely, compliantly, and efficiently, supporting the wider business.
Location: Worcester | Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE) | Contract: Permanent | Full-Time | On-Site | Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute break)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the company fleet and ensure full compliance with transport legislation
- Audit vehicle maintenance and monitor legislative changes
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are met across the transport department
- Act as main point of contact for motor insurance
- Manage daily vehicle defect checks
- Ensure all vehicles are licensed, registered, and insured
- Schedule vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance
- Liaise with drivers, planners, maintenance depots, and internal teams
- Travel occasionally to the Wales depot
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required
About You
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CPC in Road Haulage (International)
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation and Health & Safety
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Transport Management role
