Transport Administrator £12.71 per hour | Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm | Temp to Perm | Full UK Driving Licence Required (Driving essential due to location) We're recruiting a Transport Administrator to support a busy car compound and automotive logistics operation in Bristol.
This is a temp‑to‑perm role offering stability, progression and a varied workload within a fast‑paced vehicle movement environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating the despatch process for drivers moving vehicles around the compound
- Ensuring all vehicle movement documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date and distributed correctly
- Maintaining regular communication with the Supervisor to maximise load‑building and compound efficiency
- Liaising with truck drivers, yard drivers and compound staff
- Investigating and following up on carrier and customer queries
- Completing bookings for vehicle movements, materials and packages
- Using Excel, Outlook and compound systems to manage daily admin tasks
- Ensuring compliance with site health & safety procedures and reporting any breaches
- Attending training courses as required
- Supporting additional duties as requested by line management
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous admin or logistics experience desirable
- Strong team‑working skills
- Good use of the English language
- Ability to work in a busy, fast‑changing automotive environment

- Ability to work effectively with drivers, compound teams and customers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Progressive mindset to support continuous improvement of the despatch and vehicle movement function
