Role Overview

The team works across a broad range of areas linked to statutory and non-statutory duties which protect and improve the health, wellbeing and safety of our residents. We utilise data and evidence to help guide decisions on investment and targeting of particular programmes of work. As part of this role you will work towards completing a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support data analysis, surveys and reports presenting complex findings to diverse audiences
  • Support delivery of statutory public health intelligence, including JSNA, Annual Public Health Report and outbreak response
  • Coordinate Joint Strategic Needs Assessment on behalf of Health and Wellbeing Board
  • Lead on annual city-wide wellbeing survey and other lifestyle surveys
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on priority areas such as child development, domestic abuse
  • Develop reporting dashboards to support service monitoring such as Environmental Health and Trading Standards, delivery of NHS Health Checks

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to understand and interpret statistics and work with data; keen to develop this through the apprenticeship
  • Self-motivated, able to operate well within a team and balance organisational workload while studying for the apprenticeship
  • Knowledge and experience of spreadsheets and databases to store and retrieve data
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Proof of address and satisfactory references
  • Occupational health clearance and evidence of professional qualifications or registrations
  • DBS check at the appropriate level (if applicable for the role)
