We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist school catering for pupils aged 3-16 years with a range of complex needs, including:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Communication and sensory processing needs

The Role
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
- Lead a class of pupils with diverse and complex needs
- Work closely with a team of Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Implement individualised learning strategies and behaviour support plans
- Foster a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches accordingly
- Support students' communication, independence, and life skills development
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEN / SEND / Autism / complex needs (school or specialist setting)
- A strong understanding of differentiation, EHCPs, and inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant SEN experience or placements are also encouraged to apply
