We are looking for a permanent Public Health Commissioning Manager.
Responsibilities
In this role you will manage and oversee the implementation of key public health commissioning programmes. Based on an understanding of local health and wellbeing needs, you will support the development of commissioning priorities and plans for public health services in Trafford to reduce inequalities. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as NHS, voluntary sector agencies and communities to align the market with the aspirations of service users, as well as work with contract and procurement staff to support the delivery of services. This post will cover a combination of smoking cessation, GP/Pharmacy contracts including NHS Health Checks, health inequalities, sexual health, and oral health.
With experience of project management and commissioning of services, and a degree or a professional management/commissioning qualification, you will have strong organisational skills to ensure projects are meeting key performance indicators and are delivered within set timescales. Using excellent communication skills and your experience in multi-agency working, you will build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to improve health and well-being outcomes. You will be able to analyse performance and financial data as well as have the ability to present clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences in order to influence decision makers and command the confidence of others.
