Part-Time Accounts Assistant Location: Trafford Park, Manchester Salary: Up to Β£30,000 FTE (pro rata) Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Our client, a well-established business based in Trafford Park, is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised finance professional looking for a part-time position within a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be available to start immediately and will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Allocating payments and receipts
- Assisting with payment runs
- Handling finance-related queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Supporting month-end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- General finance and accounting support as required
Person Specification
- Previous experience working within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar role
- Strong understanding of transactional finance processes
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
