About the Role

Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, changing, and bed baths
- Support transfer from bed to chair and back using a ceiling hoist
- Move within the home and in a wheelchair when necessary
- Assist with eating and drinking when required
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment at home and in the local community
Working Conditions
- Place of work: Home and local community
- Hours: 16 hours per week with weekend work as needed to cover other staff during sickness and annual leave
- Pay: £15.40 per hour plus double pay on bank holidays; wages paid monthly with holiday pay provided
- Initial trial period until performance is confirmed
Requirements
- Patient, understanding and empathetic toward an older adult with limited mobility
- Respectful of privacy and confidentiality when working in a private home
- Willing to undergo a DBS Disclosure (Police Check) and reference checks
- Must hold a valid National Insurance number and the legal right to work in the UK
- Ability to perform manual handling and receive training if needed
