Location: Severn Trent Contract Location – Telford. Travel to other depots or customer locations may be required.
General Hours of Work: 42.5 hours per week with a varying shift pattern between 7am and 6pm, including some weekend shifts on a rota basis.
Company Overview: Chevron TM specialises in providing temporary traffic management services throughout the UK, delivering physical and digital traffic controls to ensure works are carried out safely for workers and the public. We manage traffic for utilities, rail, high-speed network, local authorities and events, and place huge emphasis on performance and exceeding our clients' expectations. We provide expert support from the consultation and design phase right through to completion and sign-off.
Responsibilities: The Traffic Management Coordinator is pivotal in the utilities sector, building and coordinating all activities for utilities contracts. You report to the Contract Manager and assist in managing the workload of a team of traffic management operatives, ensuring standards, times and locations are met.
- Coordination and Logistics: Build, review and create picking lists for all works on our ERP system; liaise with clients; schedule planned and reactive works using all tools to meet SLAs and KPIs.
- Customer Service: Attend meetings with the team and client, both in person and online; provide information; address enquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Financial Management: Assist in maintaining financial transactions to maximise revenue and stay within contractual rates.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of contract and operational delivery areas.
- Communication: Answer calls from clients and customers; direct internally; maintain effective communication channels with the contract team, supervisors, managers and operatives to maximise operational efficiencies; liaise on job-specific requirements and maintain accurate data on internal and external systems.
- Learning and Development: Participate in training to enhance administration skills; develop a solid understanding of our contract and services; learn cross functions to assist in other areas when required.
Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); confidence working with Orion/SAP and other IT systems; ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines/SLA demands; excellent communication skills face-to-face and over the telephone; ability to quickly resolve scheduling and logistics conflicts; ability to complete tasks with thoroughness, accuracy and consistency; customer-focused attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional service; ability to work independently and as part of a team; eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks; attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Preferred Experience: Traffic management experience (not essential); scheduling & planning experience (training provided).
