We are currently recruiting for an engineering client based in the Tipton area. This will be a temporary permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Pay £17.00ph for an experienced person plus £40 per week shift allowance.
2 months training based on Day shift 6am - 2.00pm (Flexible based on knowledge). CNC lathe Setter / Operator working on HURCO machines. CNC programme knowledge essential, setting and operating and programming of CNC machines.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- To produce machined parts to technical drawing specification.
- CNC Lathe experience including the setting and programming of Lathe Machines.
- To operate and set the CNC.
- To change offsets and tooling.
- To inspect parts using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to achieve set production rate targets.
- Comply with internal documentation.
- Communicate consumable replenishment to appropriate department.
- Communicate effectively with Team Leader and appropriate departments.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Have a proactive approach to Continuous Improvement.
- Understand and adhere to Quality Management System.
- Undertake departmental housekeeping as required and maintain to 5C standard.
- Any other duties as and when required.
- 2 years previous experience working on CNC Lathe machines.
- Setting / operating programming HURCO machines.
- Ability to follow work instructions and standard procedures.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to be organized, detailed and accurate.
Working on Afternoon Shift 2-10pm Monday, Thursday and Friday 12.00 noon - 8.00pm. Pay rate £17.00ph plus shift allowance. Please apply online if you are available and have relevant experience.
