The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality support and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum learning
  • Delivering targeted interventions and structured small group work
  • Providing 1:1 support, including for pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion
  • Contributing to a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
About You
  • A Level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Strong spoken English skills are essential to effectively support pupils, particularly in a school with a high proportion of learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
