Chester Hospital – Theatre Manager Job Description

Nursing; Permanent contract; Full time; Competitive salary depending on skills and experience; 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job:

  • Be operationally responsible for the Theatre and Endoscopy teams.
  • Ensure the delivery of high‑quality, clinically effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, senior leaders, healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Be fully accountable for leading, motivating and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.
  • Be trusted with everything from budget management to business planning and clinical governance.

Qualifications:

Ideally, you have teaching and assessment skills, and ILS/ALS qualifications. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage.

Experience:

As a Theatre Manager at our Chester Hospital, you will bring a nursing or practitioner qualification, specialist training and impressive senior‑level experience in a clinical setting.
