Experienced Vehicle Service Advisor Opportunity at a prestigious Tewkesbury dealership. Our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership in Tewkesbury with a history spanning over 100 years, is seeking to appoint an experienced Vehicle Service Advisor. Duties:

  • Greet customers in the Service Department and professionally book their vehicles in for repairs and servicing
  • Liaise extensively with the workshop to chase work in progress and ensure timely completion
  • Advise and influence customers on minor vehicle technical issues and additional products or services
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding vehicle progress and prepare and take payments for work completed
  • Upsell suitable services and maintenance options to maximise customer satisfaction and dealership targets
  • Coordinate with manufacturers to authorise warranty repairs and manage warranty procedures efficiently
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are delivered, fostering repeat business and customer loyalty
  • Record and update customer and vehicle information accurately, utilising dealership management systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within an automotive dealership or garage environment
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Organised with excellent communication skills
  • IT proficiency, ideally with experience using Autoview dealer management system (non-essential)
  • Valid driving license and residence within reasonable commuting distance of Tewkesbury
  • Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers (desirable)
