About this job:

  • Prepare the operating theatre and equipment before surgery.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures as scrub, circulator, recovery.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and condition throughout the perioperative period.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
  • Adhere to infection control and health & safety protocols.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and clinical excellence.

About You:

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • First level Registered Nurse / HCPC registered ODP
  • Good level of clinical skills within one or more of the perioperative disciplines
  • Able to provide assistance to all disciplines, including anaesthetist, surgeon prior to, during and following surgical procedures
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
  • Evidence of ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of current practice, research and development within theatre areas
  • Work within the latest Code of Professional Conduct
  • Adaptable to change
  • Working as a team member to provide support and cover for periods of annual leave and sickness
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
