About this job:
- Prepare the operating theatre and equipment before surgery.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures as scrub, circulator, recovery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and condition throughout the perioperative period.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Adhere to infection control and health & safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Participate in audits, training, and continuous professional development.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and clinical excellence.
About You:
- The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- First level Registered Nurse / HCPC registered ODP
- Good level of clinical skills within one or more of the perioperative disciplines
- Able to provide assistance to all disciplines, including anaesthetist, surgeon prior to, during and following surgical procedures
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
- Evidence of ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge of current practice, research and development within theatre areas
- Work within the latest Code of Professional Conduct
- Adaptable to change
- Working as a team member to provide support and cover for periods of annual leave and sickness
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Self-motivated
