The Governing Body of Heathfield Primary wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated nursery teaching assistant to work within our Nursery and be part of the Heathfield Early Years team.
Responsibilities
- Commitment to the Heathfield intent and ethos
- Passion for making a difference for the children of Heathfield
- Excellent, inclusive practice including effective questioning techniques and strategies to develop children’s communication and language
- Understanding of how to extend children’s learning through effective and purposeful continuous provision, both indoors and outdoors
- A proven track record of success and improving children’s outcomes
- Secure subject knowledge of the Early Years handbook and expectations
- Accurate self-reflection, responding positively to feedback
- Ability to plan and assess effectively
- High expectations of achievement and behaviour, including supporting children’s self-regulation
- Willingness to work as part of a team, with excellent organisational skills, in a fast-paced environment
- Play a full part in the wider life of the school
Qualifications
- An approved Early Years level 3 qualification (See DfE criteria)
- At least a level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Hold or be prepared to receive Paediatric First Aid training
