Hearing Impaired Resource Base Teaching / HIRB Assistant Cardiff

The school is looking to appoint a Hearing Impaired Resource Base Teaching Assistant on a temporary contract for the Summer Term and into Autumn Term 2026. The successful Hearing Impaired Resource Base Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils of mixed ages with hearing impairments, working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and adapt communication methods where needed.
Qualifications- Experience working with children with additional learning needs or hearing impairments
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL)
- Experience supporting pupils across mixed age ranges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to support different learning needs
- A patient, supportive and proactive attitude
