As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in making every night safe, comfortable, and meaningful for the people we support. Together, we'll make a real difference.
About the role: You will work four nights per week across two nearby homes in Taunton, both located within an approximate 2-mile radius of each other. One home supports five gentlemen, while the other supports three men and one woman, all with a range of disabilities and support needs. Each night, you'll play a vital part in creating a safe, calm and comforting environment where people feel secure, respected and well-supported.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out regular keeping-safe checks to ensure everyone is comfortable and settled.
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment throughout the night.
- Accurately recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems, including support notes and health and safety checks.
- Creating a reassuring, therapeutic atmosphere that promotes wellbeing.
- Supporting people with their evening or night-time routines in ways that matter to them.
- Providing personal care, when required, always with dignity, compassion and respect.
