The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day leadership of the invasive physiology team/service across Somerset and provide leadership within the Department, ensuring compliance against standard operating procedures and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation of a care environment and culture that delivers a consistently high standard of patient-centred care.
- Participate in the development of a patient-centred service that responds to changing health care needs and provides rapid access to appropriate care.
- Promote high professional standards and quality of care for patients, responding appropriately to concerns, complaints and commendations from the patients and user groups.
- Assess on a daily, individualised basis that the service is meeting its users' needs and expectations.
- Act as patient advocate ensuring relevant investigations, procedures, treatments and follow-up appointments are arranged and understood.
- Use professional channels of communication to address unnecessary or distressing delays along each individual's experience.
- Maintain clear, concise and up-to-date clinical records.
- Produce detailed technical reports on all tests performed in a timely manner.
