This is the welcoming face of our academy, supporting an alternative provision as part of a friendly and supportive team. We are looking for an Administrator/Receptionist with a warm, professional manner and a passion for supporting young people and their families. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our front-of-house operations, providing a welcoming and efficient reception service and supporting the wider administrative team.
About you
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
- Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and email, and ideally have experience with school management systems such as Bromcom.
- Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a calm approach when dealing with sensitive situations or safeguarding matters.
- Be committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Be flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a school setting.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting students and staff with day-to-day administrative needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting with data entry and reporting.
- Assisting with general office duties such as photocopying, filing, and ordering supplies.
