Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Facilities Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant. You will be joining our Facilities Management team based in Swindon. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem‑solving skills. If you take pride in maintaining high standards and creating safe, welcoming environments, we would love to hear from you. This is a full‑time permanent position with alternating shifts working 7AM‑3PM and or 10AM‑6PM Monday‑Friday. This role is based at Nova Hreod School however may require cover across Moredon Primary School.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, and monitoring.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school’s schedule and individuals’ skills.
- Where appropriate provide access, escort and liaise with service providers to undertake remedial work or planned preventative maintenance.
- Conduct minor repairs and decoration works.
- Respond to emergency situations such as floods, bodily fluids and effect temporary or permanent rectification in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
- Check BMS, boilers, hot water functioning, pest inspections, drains and gullies for blockages and plant rooms.
- Conduct day‑to‑day duties according to daily schedule, i.e., litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping and refreshing toilets.
Key requirements:
- Range of general handyperson skills such as general DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical.
- Good customer service skills.
- Amenable and approachable personality.
- Ability to liaise with and assist external service providers.
- Ability to work in a team.
