The predicted salary is between 76038 - 114743 Β£ per year.

Triage patient referrals requesting input for an identified possible ME/CFS illness.

Medical assessment of patients referred to the service, both face to face and virtual appointments as per current SOP. Confirm a diagnosis of ME/CFS as per NICE Guidelines 2021. Provide clinical letters and communication to Primary Care GPs to inform of outcomes.

Undertake, if needed further 1x appointment as per MDT approval. Liaise with service clinical leads to support decision making about complexities of presentation.

To adopt a reflective approach to clinical practice, to report all incidents and work with the team to investigate incidents. Consider with patient options for ongoing management support once diagnosis is confirmed.

Communicate and work collaboratively with the wider ME/CFS therapy team. Participate in clinical & operational meetings.

To participate actively in our multi-professional team meetings (MDT). To record full clinical notes using the IT systems.

Be an effective role model and resource for all members of the multidisciplinary team. To maintain clinical excellence within the organisation and provide education and training as appropriate both formally and informally for colleagues as per GMC/RCGP guidelines.

Ensure that sufficient personal development time is spent in appropriate education (including mandatory training) to allow the continued development of knowledge. Undertake annual appraisals and revalidation as required by GMC.

Please note the role will be fully supported by the senior clinical and management team.

See indicative job plan. 2 sessions per week Clinical session (3 Initial patients, 1 telephone follow up and admin time).
