Churchward School is a special school for children and young people (CYP) aged 11‑19 years with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social Communication Interaction Difficulties (SCID). We are pioneers for both academic and pastoral health. The Safeguarding Co‑ordinator will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop a strong safeguarding culture across the school. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students by managing safeguarding procedures, supporting colleagues in fulfilling their safeguarding responsibilities and acting as a key liaison with external agencies. You will oversee the school’s safeguarding policies ensuring they are up‑to‑date and effective in keeping all students safe.
