We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Quality Engineer to drive quality assurance initiatives across modern cloud-based applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in quality engineering practices, test strategy, automation, security testing, API validation, and Agile delivery. This role focuses on embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle through shift-left testing approaches, modern QA methodologies, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality engineering strategies for web applications, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
- Champion shift-left testing practices by integrating quality activities early in the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test suites to ensure product quality, reliability, and security.
- Perform security testing activities, including vulnerability assessment, security validation, and risk-based testing.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and API testing across distributed systems.
- Establish and enforce test governance frameworks, standards, metrics, and quality controls.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria and quality objectives.
- Drive adoption of modern QA practices, including continuous testing, automation-first strategies, and quality engineering principles.
- Design and maintain automated testing frameworks using JavaScript and related technologies.
- Support testing in cloud environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and resilience of applications.
- Promote and implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices across teams.
- Analyse test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor quality metrics and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and delivery efficiency.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing and quality gates.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Security Testing, including application security validation and vulnerability assessment.
- Hands-on experience testing applications deployed in Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven expertise in Shift-Left Testing methodologies.
- Deep understanding of Modern QA Practices and Quality Engineering principles.
- Extensive experience in API Testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Experience establishing and managing Test Governance processes and quality standards.
- Strong programming and automation skills in JavaScript.
- Practical experience implementing TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) practices.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
- Experience with defect management, test management, and reporting tools.
